Anonymous Team Vendetta wasn’t about to let the marijuana arrest of Libertarian radio host and Iraq veteran Adam Kokesh go unremarked.

The hacktivist group on Tuesday temporarily took down at least two websites, the Philly Police Blog and rangerfop.com, the United States Park Ranger Lodge, in retaliation for Kokesh’s arrest.

When Kokesh was busted at a pro-marijuana rally in Philadelphia moments before 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, he had just encouraged the crowd to smoke weed and to “make it difficult for the police” to break up the rally, according to video of the incident, reports Hunter Stuart at The Huffington Post.

“I’m being assaulted by an officer of the law who is a clear criminal,” Kokesh said into his microphone at the Smoke Down Prohibition rally as officers struggled to get handcuffs onto the activist. People in the crowd started chanting, “Stop the violence!”

Your grandparents grew their own medicine and food. Why? To save money. Now the government says: “You can’t. Use our ‘approved’ meds and foods or have yourselves and families be socially, financially, and criminally prosecuted.”

Excuse me? This is America. This country was founded in the hopes of erasing these kinds of tyrannical behaviors. The stock market crash of 1929 punctuated a nationwide need to maintain home gardens due to government failures.

Right this minute your tax dollars pay the salaries and benefits of every politician, regardless of if they are on the city, state, or federal levels. Your tax dollars are going directly to the purposes of lowering your quality of life.

If you’ve been paying attention to what has actually been happening most recently, you are aware that the push for the decriminalization and legalization of marijuana is on the rise.

It would seem that people are finally waking up and realizing the good that would come from this, and the strong push is coming from Generation Y, or the “Millennials.”

The open-minded generation that dared to wonder, innovate, and ask thought-provoking questions is the same generation of free-spirited creators and thinkers who brought on the push for change within our society. Read Full Article →

Musical artist Chief Greenbud has gotten some favorable attention for his marijuana-themed songs, and his latest song and video on YouTube are going to please his old fans, and likely gain him some new ones.

“Marijuana Mellows You Out” is the name of the tune, and it adheres to the Chief’s thoroughly stoned, happy-go-lucky musical and lyrical style.

We are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our fellow man. This is a real war with real casualties and collateral damage. We have lost innumerable good people to the war on weed and on a larger scale, drugs. This war rages on, even as we see the walls of prohibition crumbling and people calling for an end to these disastrous policies.

In any fight for freedom and justice it is necessary to decipher who are friends and who are foes… and who is unfortunately neutral.

Since curing my own breast cancer and writing about it, I’ve been contacted by people around the world suffering from real illness, seeking help with the plant.

Finding medicine makers and connecting them with patients can be a frustrating process from a distance, albeit helped with social networking.

I live in a part of the world where medicine is plentiful. My daily personal prescription of green leaf for juicing has not been hard to fill. Talking with people suffering and struggling to get good medicine keeps me humble and grateful for my bounty.

How sad the Denver rally was marred by violence and instead of a message of peace, the global news is now reporting: “gunshots at marijuana rally.” For me, this is a great tragedy.

Abby from Daily Beast called me on 4/19 and interviewed me for more than an hour. She seemed fascinated by my history of spiritual use of cannabis, although I cautioned her there was a pretty intense filter in the national media on any of this info, and if she planned to write about it, be prepared for censorship from on high.

She laughed off that idea, but strangely, her story has yet to appear.

MMM_truth.jpg“A weed is a flower, too, once you get to know it.”~ Eeyore from “Winnie The Pooh”

After 76 years of the debate being controlled by those who’ve made it taboo to even talk honestly on the subject, it’s time to tell the truth about marijuana.

For far too long, the deck has remained stacked in favor of cannabis prohibition. The reason? Folks who know that marijuana should be legal are often too intimidated to say so — because, until now, speaking cannabis truth has sometimes carried a heavy price.

For years, a few brave medical doctors such as Lester Grinspoon of Harvard have been voices in the wilderness of marijuana prohibition. Their repeated calls for an open and honest debate on the subject have largely fallen on deaf ears.

Until now, when it comes to marijuana, those who know won’t say, and those who say don’t know.
