The public is invited to join the cannabis conversation and meet, network, and learn from hundreds of leading cannabis professionals and entrepreneurs from across the nation, as they converge for the 2nd Annual Southwest Cannabis Conference & Expo, Friday, October 14 – Sunday, October 16, at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. 3rd St., in Phoenix.
The trade show kicks off with an intensive all day boot camp presented by Medicine Man Technologies on Friday at 8 a.m. Boot camp topics include: Industry Overview, Rules and Regulations, Industry Trends, and How to Build and Assemble a Cannabis Business.The show floor opens to the general public on Saturday and Sunday, from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., where attendees will see hundreds of cannabis, hemp and CBD related exhibits, plus hear industry experts discuss every aspect of the emerging industry.
General admission to the event is $50 per day. The cannabis boot camp is $99.Presented by the Southwest Expo Group, New Times and Vapen, the event comes at a critical time for Arizona voters as they decide upon Arizona Prop 205 in the November, calling for the end of cannabis prohibition and the regulation of marijuana like alcohol in the state.
“We invite the public to learn everything there is to know about the local and national cannabis economy,” said Demitri Downing, event director. “We want voters to make an informed choice in this November and the expo offers them an unbiased look at all areas of this emerging industry.”
Considered one of the fastest growing industries in the country, researchers at the ArcView Group predict the U.S. market for legal marijuana to exceed $7 billion in 2016.
Expo organizers expect a large turnout of attendees as voters throughout the nation evaluate policy and legislation affecting medical and recreational cannabis usage.
