Here’s a nice riff for your spliff: Give a listen to “Take A Hit,” the new song and video from Earthquake Institute.

The funky track demonstrates a pro-legalization stance on marijuana, and slings a few important facts in the process.

“Take A Hit” is the first video/single off the upcoming EP, Fear and Loathing in Los Angeles.

This clever track is set to a grimy Earthquake Institute beat, and various political figures are put on blast as the group points out the hypocrisy of tired old Drug War policies.

The Earthquake Institute is a hip-hop duo from Oxnard, California. They bring a gritty, sample-heavy, golden era sound from the West Coast.

Static-filled loops combined with bottom-heavy drums provide the twisted musical landscape for the duo to spit comedic, raunchy, political, fantasy, sexual, and braggadocio rhymes.
