Well, gee whiz, ACS, I’ve been doing that for more than two years now… Wondering how many millions of dollars must be gathered in all-night track running for “the cure” until they finally find it?
The offer is exciting though, in many ways. Firstly, the study they are inviting the masses to partake in is focusing on prevention, which seems a likely place to start. Adults between the ages of 30 and 65 years of age who have never been diagnosed with cancer are asked to share their lifestyles over a period of time to finally get to the bottom of stopping the thing from starting… since they can’t seem to find a cure.
The thing is, with the abundance of toxins shoved down our throats, poured into our waterways, and dosed on our food for decades, it seems you’d have to pioneer the Moon to fully prevent any more cancers.
Studies done on lab rats with pesticides such as DDT and other common vector controls are shown to stay in blood lines up to five generations. Since the dawn of chemicals, we as a society have only been through about five generations since the whole mess began, with cancers and other related diseases more prevalent than ever.
No matter, cannabis patients who ingest regularly are already using the best preventive, natural medicine around, keeping not just cancer at bay, but strengthening immune systems, helping digestive issues, righting neurological issues, stopping inflammation (the crux of most of our ailments), and quelling pain. We know it’s the best medicine for cancer prevention, but it also prevents stroke, heart disease, and a bevy of other ailments too numerous to name.
The list of conditions helped with this plant is extensive, and, ironically, leads many to question its very validity. A paradox if there ever was one, for until you familiarize yourself with the endocannabinoid system, and understand how this plant works with us, it can seem like so much magic.
What makes this survey exciting for cannabis patients as participants is they will be asked to list everything they do, everything they ingest. Medical use of the plant on myriad illnesses will be documented along with other ailments helped – not just preventing cancer.
As a bonus, by documenting the use of the plant, we will be making a Federal record of cannabis as medicine. I can’t think of a better back door to get into, can you?
